Ecuador Adventure Packages

Jungle & Rafting 2 days / 1 night

Get to experience the exillerating thrills of rafting, whilst staying in and experiencing the jungle.

Itinerary

Day 1:

Depart from Quito to Tena at 7:00am by public transport. We head east over the Andes, traveling through spectacular mountain scenery. On arrival in Tena you will be lodged in a typical Quechua cabin and served a delicious lunch.

In the afternoon there will be the opportunity to participate in some local culture or enjoy an entertaining walk getting to know the area.

In the evening after an appetizing dinner you will get to hear some of the fascinating legends of the jungle and enjoy some traditional music of the region.

Day 2:

After breakfast you will be transported to a part of the Upper river Napo known as the “Jatunyacu” to experience the emotion of white water rafting. After receiving your equipment and full safety instructions you will be ready to enjoy 25 km of rapids and natural pools and breath taking jungle scenery.

Rafting also includes a hidden canyon walk, a delicious riverside lunch and for the more adventurous the possibility of using a sit on top kayak.

After the rafting you will be served a beer before returning to Tena to take the bus back to Quito at 5:00 pm.

Minimum: 2 Persons

At dawn, experience the absolute harmony of the Amazon jungle; learn about the trees, medicinal plants, and wildlife. In the afternoon, pan gold out of the river as people have done for centuries. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and lodging in cabins.

Day 3:

After breakfast you will be transported to a part of the Upper Napo River known as the “Jatunyacu” to experience the emotion of white water rafting. Itinerary

Day 1:

On arrival in Tena you will be lodged in a typical Quechua cabin. In the afternoon you will have a 1 ½ hour hike to the lagoons. You will have time for swimming and appreciate the spectacular jungle scenery.

After an appetizing dinner you will get to hear some of the fascinating legends of the jungle and enjoy some traditional music of the region.

Day 2:

At dawn, experience the absolute harmony of the Amazon jungle; learn about the trees, medicinal plants, and wildlife. In the afternoon, pan gold out of the river as people have done for centuries. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and lodging in cabins.

Day 3:

At the end of the journey you will be offered beer or soft drinks. You will be transported to your next lodging, cabins situated 100 meters above the Anzu river, where dinner awaits.

Day 4:

A magnificent view awaits your awaking, if the day is clear you will get a view of the volcanoes Sumaco, Sangay and the erupting Tungurahua. Breakfast will be served in the dining area, after which you will get ready for a jungle walk. This walk includes a visit to the magnificent natural canyons of the region. After the walk you will be served lunch before returning to Tena to take a bus back to Quito at 3:15 pm.

Minimum: 2 Persons

Included in these packages: Lodging, meals, rafting (guides, equipment, security kayak), jungle cabañas, jungle trip, cultural activities, with a native guide, private transport in Tena area and public transport Quito Tena – Quito.

Notes: These packages are subject to availability. Please note that it is possible to confirm the jungle activities with two people, however for the rafting trip we require a minimum of fourpeople.

For jungle excursions we can provide a English speaking translator for an extra cost of 20 USD per day.
